Through the years both the fire district and the volunteers of the fire company have obtained many pieces of fire fighting apparatus:

1956: 809-805-rescue/utility/salvage- Class B firematics truck


A Ford emergency salvage was purchased with fire company funds and turned over to the fire district for the cost of $1.00. It was stationed at the Trenton Road station and carried first aid and salvage equipment. This truck is now retired and has been modified for use by the “Hosebusters” Firematic Drill team.

1957: Engine-802

A new GMC 750 gallon per minute pump was purchased and put into service at the Trenton Road firehouse. This was the first custom pump purchased by Deerfield Fire District #1. This truck is now retired and is located at the Trenton Road firehouse.

1959: Tanker 807
A used Brockway water tanker with a 2,200-gallon capacity tank was put into service at the Roberts Road firehouse. This provided better protection to the non-hydrant portion of the fire district.

1964: Engine-1 (801)
A new GMC 750 gallon-per minute pumper carrying 1,000 gallons of water was purchased and stationed at the newly expanded Roberts Road firehouse. This truck replaced the original Engine-1 (801).

1967: Tanker-7 (807)
A new GMC 2500-gallon capacity tanker with a 250 gallon-per minute pump was purchased. This replaced the 1959 Tanker (807), which was sold to the Otter Lake Fire Department.

1972: Rescue-9 (809)
A new Boyertown Emergency-Salvage panel truck was put into service at the Trenton Road firehouse. This truck replaced the existing 809, which then became Rescue-5 (805) and was placed at the Roberts Road firehouse.

1976: Engine-3 (803)

A new GMC diesel with a 1,000 gallon-per-minute pump was purchased and put into service at the newly expanded Trenton Road firehouse.

1986: Rescue-5

A new Salisbury 4-wheel drive mini-pumper/rescue with a 750 gallon-per minute pump carrying 225 gallons of water was purchased and put into service at the Roberts Road firehouse replacing the 1956 utility truck.

1988: Engine-4

A new custom Seagrave pumper was purchased with grant funds received from the New York State Power Authority. This grant was made available due to the construction of the Marcy-South transmission line through the Town of Deerfield.

1992: Tanker-7

A new Ford diesel tanker with a 500 gallon-per-minute pump with a 2000-gallon capacity tank was put into service at the Roberts Road Fire Station. This replaced the 1967 tanker, which was turned over to the Deerfield Town Highway Department.

1992: Rescue-6

A used Chevrolet Suburban was purchased by the fire company with fund raising proceeds and turned over to the fire district. This truck greatly improved the response capabilities to medical emergencies and was put into service at the Trenton Road firehouse.

1997: Engine-1

A new Caliber-HME combination rescue/pump was purchased and put into service as the Trenton Road firehouse. This truck replaced both the 1972 Rescue-9 and the 1964 Engine-1.

1997: Squad-1

A new dodge 4-wheel drive one-ton pick-up truck was purchased by the fire company and given to the fire district to be used as a utility vehicle.

Rescue-6

2007: Rescue 5

A new Ford 4-wheel drive rescue was purchased and put into service at the Roberts Road firehouse. This truck replaced the 1986 Rescue-5.
